These Bacon Wrapped Breakfast Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe slow spun on a Carson Kit and over a nice and hot hickory wood fire is such a fun recipe to do. Its like modern day rotisserie technology meets primitive campfire grilling. You must try and let us know what you think!
*Before we fire up the grill, lets do a quick equipment and ingredients check to make sure we have everything we need for this recipe?
1 Carson Medium Skewer
A Fire Pit
A large cookie sheet
A Sharp Knife (I love this knife!)
A good pair of tongs
A Large cutting board
A Large bowl
1 - 16oz Breakfast Sausage (I used Jimmy Dean)
1 - package of thin cut bacon
1 cup of soy sauce
12 baby bella mushrooms
Do you have everything listed above and is all of it in fine fresh working order?
Yes - (Then proceed to getting your grill on!)
No - (Either roll with what you got or wait until you're ready to rock.)
Step 1.) Pre-light your fire in your fire pit.
Step 2.) Remove the stems from the mushrooms and place them in a large bowl.
Step 3.) Marinate is soy sauce and let sit for a few minutes.
Step 4.) Grab a pinch of the breakfast sausage and stuff the mushrooms.
Step 5.) Wrap a half slice of bacon around each side and take medium skewer and skewer through the ends of the bacon and repeat until the skewer is loaded.
Now you're ready to spin your meat!
Step 1.) Place loaded skewer on bottom row and let grill for about 30 minutes or until it reaches the color you see in the video below.
Step 1.) Slide one by one with the back of your knife (not The sharp edge) or slice evenly down the middle like you see in the video below.
*Slice as much as you like or place back on the grill (Top Row) until everyone is ready for more!
