This Parmesan Hot Wing wrapped in a Belgian white waffle dipped in maple syrup recipe says it all. It is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, salty, butter that makes this a perfect late night offering that people will remember way after they take their first bite. Enjoy!

*Before we fire up the grill, lets do a quick equipment and ingredients check to make sure we have everything we need for this recipe?


Equipment

1 Carson Kit

1 Carson Medium Skewer

A Weber Genesis e-310 Gas Grill

A large cookie sheet

A Sharp Knife (I love this knife!)

A good pair of tongs

At least a 1/4 tank of propane

A Large cutting board

A Waffle iron that makes 3 inch waffles


Ingredients
Yield: 12 - 3oz Pieces

 12 Chicken Drummies 

1 cup of Parmesan Cheese

1/4 cup of Hot Sauce (I use Franks.)

Kosher Salt

2 cups of Waffle Batter Mix


Do you have everything listed above and is all of it in fine fresh working order?

Yes - (Then proceed to getting your grill on!)

No - (Either roll with what you got or wait until you're ready to rock.)

Prep Directions

Step 1.) Turn on your Weber Genesis e-310 and run it wide open. Your grill needs to be as hot as it can get.  

Step 2.) Slice the wing pieces into drummies if not already separated.

Step 3.) Skewer directly through the middle of the wing pieces careful not to skewer your hand.

Step 4.) Sprinkle kosher salt all over the wings

Step 5.) Coat in layer of hot sauce

Step 6.) Coat in layer of parmesan either before or while the wings are spinning

Now you're ready to let your wings fly!


Grilling Directions

Step 1.) Place loaded skewer on bottom row and let grill for about 30 to 45 minutes or until it reaches the color to your liking.

*If you want to get real cheeky with it then slap the wings down on the conventional side of the grill for about 3 minutes each side.

Step 2.) While your wings is finishing up, place your waffle skillet on the conventional side of the grill and make 12 waffles following the waffle instructions of the batter you are using. 

Step 3.) Once the wings give a little fight on the skewer then you know they are ready to serve up.


Carving Directions

Step 1.) Slide all the wings off, wrap in waffle, and serve in a 1 ounce disposable shot glass. You may need a crying towel because these insane to eat!

Footnotes

Now remember these directions are just a guideline. Follow it as closely as you can the first few times. Once you feel you're getting more comfortable with it, then try to turn it up a bit by putting your own spin on it. Maybe try a different cheese or if you're feeling really freaky how about whipping up some sweet potato chips as an added layer of sweet crunch?!
