LEARN TO PLAY PASS THE PIGS

"Pass the Pigs" is a fun dice-like party game where instead of dice, you roll two small pig-shaped figures. The way the pigs land determines your score! Here’s how to play:

🎲 Setup

  • You need: the two pig figurines, a scorepad, and a pen.
  • Decide who goes first (roll-off or flip a coin).

🐖 Basic Gameplay

  1. On Your Turn:
    • Roll both pigs.
    • Based on how they land, you score points.
    • After each roll, you can either keep rolling to build more points or stop and bank your score.
  1. BUT — if you "Pig Out" or "Oinker," you lose points. More on that below.

🧮 Scoring Guide

The pigs can land in several positions. Here are the common ones (with classic points):

☠️ Risky Rolls

Event

What Happens

Pig Out

Pigs land on opposite sides (one left, one right) – lose all points for that turn

Oinker

Pigs touch each other – lose all points in the game

Piggyback

One pig lands on top of the other – you’re out of the game (optional house rule)

🏁 Winning

  • First player to reach 100 points wins (or whatever target score you all agree on).
  • If multiple players go over 100 in the same round, highest wins.

📝 Tips

  • It's a risk-reward game. The more you roll in one turn, the more you can score… or lose it all.
  • Good for 2+ players, and very travel-friendly.
